Client: The Lucrative Podcast

Project: Visual Branding—Logos, digital assets, bump cards

Connecting through music is available to anyone and everyone, and people love sharing their special songs, stories, and new discoveries. This idea runs through the upcoming Lucrative Podcast, founded by three friends from the San Diego music scene. The hosts—Nate and Derek, DJ duo DuXplosion, invite musicians, Djs, artists, and other creators to come share their “five songs”… those favorite, life and art defining, seminal songs. Nate and Derek also showcase the guest’s work, and share their own newest musical discoveries. I wanted to do something fun and DIY, with a hand-drawn vibe—like friends hanging out and making stuff. Derek and Nate are hilarious, and I saw similarities with comedian Eric André’s show. Throughout the podcast, they poke fun at how much money they’re making with the show (none) and make fake commercials of their sponsors, so we played off the cheeky, “get rich quick” idea. Nate’s a fellow visual artist, so I colored his line drawings to use in some of the assets.
